On 12 November, Olivier De Schutter will deliver a keynote address to the Conference "Landless through land grabbing" organized in Berlin by the German Green Party and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

The conference will include a review of developments around the world and will aim to take stock of the phenomenon of speculation over land and of the means to address it. The keynote address of the Special Rapporteur will provide an opportunity to explore the link more equitable access to land with the full realization of the right to food, in line with the report presented at the 65th session of the UN General Assembly. The presentation will be followed by an interactive dialogue with the audience, guided by Christiane Grefe, from the newspaper Die Zeit.
