The Special Rapporteur takes part on 24 January in the FAO/SDC/IFAD hosted Platform event on “Land, Investment and Development”, held at the FAO headquarters. The Land Day will aim to put some of the recent and new land and associated agro-industry related global challenges and new topics “in context” and, considering linkages, in a perspective of long-term rural development.

Convened in line with the objectives of the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development, the Land Day shall give an opportunity to highlight the diversity of ongoing initiatives related to land policies and land governance in relation with investment and rural development, share knowledge and provide the ground to move toward identifying a “tool kit” for improved coordination among stakeholders.
