Olivier De Schutter will be speaking in The Hague, at the invitation of FIAN-Netherlands, on the theme "Global Crises, Global Answers. The International Dimension of the Human Right to Food".

The speech will discuss the so-called 'extra-territorial', or 'international' obligations States are imposed under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, particularly as regards the right to food.

Dr. Rolf Künnemann, Human Rights Director at the International Secretariat of FIAN since 2004 and one of the founders of FIAN International, will be the other speaker.
