16-17 September 2011: Expert meeting on gender and the right to food (New Jersey, USA)

In collaboration with the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL), the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food convenes an expert meeting on September 16-17, 2011 at Rutgers University (NJ, U.S.A.). The meeting shall serve to inform a report the Special Rapporteur on the right to food will dedicate to the gender impacts of the current transformations of the food systems, and to the contribution of gender empowerment and women's rights to the full realization of the right to food.
